Being A Conscious Creator
Soulpreneurs wants to help you become a conscious creator. Create a life you love along with a world that contains more compassion and kindness. There are lots of ways you can do this. In fact right now there are people all around the planet that are working on doing just that.
So what are some ways you can become part of making a better life for yourself, your family and your planet? Well it all starts with you. Are you being kind to yourself? Have you ever tried just stopping and listening to the endless chatter that is inside your head? Better still – no one but you can hear that so why not try a couple of exercises that may help quieten your mind.
For both of the following exercises, allow up to 5 minutes of undisturbed stillness.
Sit quietly, close your eyes and listen to the thoughts that immediately start to take over. Take slow rhythmic breaths to a count of three, four or five – in for three, out for three, in for four, out for four, in for five, out for five. Work with whatever feels best to you and simply just observe your breathing. When thoughts come up just go back to your breathing. If a consistent thought is really disturbing you and you can’t get past that thought just allow it to come up. Momentum happens when you allow a thought to exist for over 17 seconds. You will notice that when a thought lasts for longer than 17 seconds, emotions and further thoughts of the same kind start to come in and so the momentum ensues. Its important not to stop those thoughts altogether (don’t try to cut them off) but try to observe them and notice that your thoughts are running on a tangent which is gathering momentum. Those thoughts want to be witnessed. What is interesting is that once you notice the tangent the thoughts are starting to take you on, you can start to observe them and thereby allow them to have no power. And that’s all you will do – witness them, release the hold they have on you and keep on breathing. The more you do this the easier it gets. Pay attention to the way you feel when you do this process.
Another simple way to start the process of consciously creating is to start your day with a solid intention. The best time is first thing in the morning, in the the stillness just when you are waking up and becoming aware of your surroundings. As you lay there in that deliciousness of semi-consciousness, try asking “what’s my number one intention for today?” and see what pops up. You will be surprised and often inspired by what you answer yourself with.
Take some time in the next few days to try these exercises. By being kind to yourself, the world around you reflects back to you. Your inner world and outer world are connected, so keep that soul on the agenda….
