Hello, I’m Carol Reid and this is my story

I made a conscious decision a number of years ago to explore more of what life had to offer. The fact is I had a near death experience, or NDE as its now referred to. Many people have these. Maybe you’ve had one too? When this happened, I just had to go deeper into universal laws, scientific proofs, spiritual principles, and ethereal intentions. I have found out more information than I thought possible and I’m here to share that with you.

Like everyone, I’ve had my share of life’s dramas and hurts.  In fact I was born into heartfelt pain.  My eighteen year old brother was killed in a car accident when I was still in my mother’s womb.  I was the last child of seven children.  I was always told I was an accident.  But I was loved.  And for the most part – my job has been to bring love and joy to those around me – even as a little baby I was a welcome distraction to the pain of loss that my family were experiencing.  I’ve done extensive personal work to release past pain and suffering.   I do still feel others pain but I allow them to own it – not me.  I once discussed my purpose with a life coach.  He suggested my life purpose (and everyone’s life purpose amongst other things) was to bring joy.  When we can experience joy we can give joy.  That doesn’t mean we don’t acknowledge the hurt.  It simply means we also choose to acknowledge the joy in situations and find the gift in the pain – and there is always a gift my friend.

So if you’ve come this far, come a little further with me and let me shine the light on your joy – let me help you discover your best self while having loads of fun along the way.

A few fun facts about me

Thriathlon.png

I do Triathlons with my daughters.

I love the feeling of working towards a goal and putting myself outside my comfort zone. Yes, it is a big commitment but it’s also exhilarating. You get a real sense of achievement when you cross the finish line and you know all that hard work has paid off. I like the connection it brings me with my daughters as it allows us to work on a project together. Every year I do the Iron Maori Quarter Triathlon – this is a 1km ocean swim, a 45km road cycle ride, and a 10km run/walk. I want to do the Iron Maori Quarter Triathlon every year until I’m 70 years old – that’s the goal within a goal! I only started competing in Triathlons when I was 49 years old so if you’re thinking about doing it, get off the couch and join me! I’ve got a few more years to do more events yet!

Austrian grandfather.png

I’m a Baroness.

My name before I was married originated in Austria. My great, great, great grandfather was a Baron in Austria and he came out to New Zealand in the early 1800s. Baron Charles von Alzdorf (Dorf meaning village in Austrian) left Austria for a life in New Zealand. He opened a pub on Lambton Quay and served the first tap beer. He was known as a jolly man about town. Unfortunately, he was killed in the 1855 earthquake when the chimney and his large imported mirror fell on him. For some time, there was a monument to him in the entranceway (off Lambton Quay) to Parliament as builders uncovered his wine cellar when remodeling occurred in 1991 to Parliament House. If you want to, you can see the heritage here Baron Alzdorf and the Wellington earthquakes..

I’m also a Business Mindset Coach with two other stunning women in a company called the 90 Day Divas

I love helping business owners get more from their business and life through another company called the 90 Day Divas. We are three coaches who bring three unique areas of expertise - myself as Business Mindset, Jennifer Meyers as Leadership and Sales and Lucy Fritche as Marketing and Online Design - all you need to go from surviving to thriving in business and life! We offer a business blueprint programme which is designed to help current and “wanna-be” small business owners gain better clarity and live into a more balanced business life instead of buying or creating another job! I’m very PASSIONATE about helping people gain better emotional intelligence, learn about how their mind works and help them to access their inner knowing to create a life and business they love. I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years and together with my other Divas we bring over 50 years of experience to the strategic table. hot coals.png

I’ve walked on hot coals.

I walked on hot coals in Auckland at an event with Robin Banks. Robin teaches Mind Power and this was a weekend event with about 65 others. We all walked on hot coals on our last day as part of a mindset exercise to overcome fear. We were all “freaking out” but none of us backed down. We had been taught over the weekend how to put ourselves into a “peak state” and once we were there we knew we could do it. I even had to walk over the coals again to be sure I wasn’t dreaming it! That night my feet felt like they had been sunburned - nice and warm but not sore. I didn’t get “kissed” by the coals but a few people did (that meant little burns on the sides or bottom of their feet). Generally, getting kissed only happens if you take your eyes off the goal at the end of the walkway and look down. Keeping your eyes straight ahead focuses you on the end game – not on the large embers below – a great metaphor for journeying through life – keep your eye on where you want to go and don’t get caught up in the crap below your feet! I highly recommend doing this experience with a leading trainer – you will overcome your own barriers, fears and limitations.
